How to measure apparent power of an AC circuit

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi,

I would like to know if there is any way of measuring apparent power using NI Multisim (11.0). I am aware that the formula is S = Vrms X Irms and that it is possible to measure it using single frequency analysis (using the expression V / I), but is there any specialized instrument for measuring it?

Thanks in advance.

I think that the only possible way is using the analysis, There is also a wattmeter

But I dont think it would work for the apparent power
