How do you create the specfile for Circuit Design Suite silent install

Setup obviously has the option to use a specfile but can't find any information to generate the file.

Hi Mah:

Setup can be run silently. You can find complete instructions in the file silent_install.txt in the supportfiles folder on the CD (or the unzipped folder if you downloaded the self-extracting ZIP). I'll give a brief overview.

To run silently, you run setup.exe /r:n /q /AcceptLicenses yes. The first option /r:n prevents restart of the computer after setup completes. /q runs the installer silently, and is required. /AcceptLicenses yes indicates you agree with the license agreements, and is required.

You can also customize the install, using the command setup.exe <path to spec file> /r:n /q /AcceptLicenses yes. The <path to spec file> is the path to the silent_install.txt, which you can copy to your compuer and modify if desired:
1. You can set your user information in [UserInfo] section, for example your name, company, and serial number. If you don't specify the serial number now, you will have to enter it later when you activate the software.
2. If you don't want to install Support and Upgrade Utility, in the [Features] section, set SUU.EWB.SUU.100=Absent. The other features are all required and will be installed even if you set their value to Abset.
3. If you want to change the installation directory, in the [Directories] section, uncomment <RootDirectory>, SUU.EWB.SUU.100 and/or EWBPro.EWB.PRO.100 and set appropriately.

One other note, if you are installing on Windows 2000, a reboot may be required for the installer to complete. This is required because an update to the Windows Installer is required. This will not occur on Windows XP or Windows Vista.
