Do Ultiboard Database connectors auto create holes, etc?

So, full disclosure:  I'm a Mech E.  We need to design a VERY simple flex element with 2 layers only.

However, when I drop a DB connector from the Ultiboard Database, I am not sure if I then have to specify the holes on top of the connecor copper.

To be clear:  I am dropping a DB50FS connector from "Through Hole Technology->Connectors->Generic->DB50SL" onto my board to provide a connection off my flex element to the rest of the world.

When I drop the part, I get solder mask entities on the top and bottom of the PCB, which would seem to indicate that the system has taken into account holes at least, and vias at best.  Does anyone know if this is, indeed, explicitly being dong for me as I drop this connector onto the board?

Thanks,

Wes

Hi Wes,

The two links below go through how to create holes within the layers on Ultiboard;

Hope these help!

Sarah, thanks for your help, but that's not what I am looking for.  Actually have found that placing the connector does create all the correct drill information.

Regards,

Wes
