Adding a net to a polygon

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi all,

I have a simple problem that I can't solve at the moment. I am basically a newbie when it comes to the Ultiboard, and hence experiencing a few problems. I have a simple 1 layer board with top and bottom. I would like place a copper polygon at the bottom of the board for all ground connections. I have no problem crearing a polygon at the bottom layer, but I can't seem to find a way to assign a net to the polygon. Can someone help me with this?

Thanks in advance.

1. Select polygon.
2. Design>>Shape to Area.
3. Right click on polygon and select Properties.
4. In dialog box select Cooper Area.
5. Enable Connected to net and select net in list.

Hey guys,

I am doing something similar. I want to assign a net to a polygon that I drew in Ultiboard. But when I look at the design tab, it does not give me the option of "Shape to Area" . I am using Ultiboard 14.0
