I need to generate and output four independent analog waveforms (max frequency of about 10 KHz, phase coherence desirable) and also read four similar analog inputs using a DAQ card. I already have a PXIe chassis (without controller). Please advise on which card and which PXIe controller would be best suited for my purpose.Options are (a) PXIe 6358,(b) PCI 6154 and (c) PXIe 4461 (will have to use two of these)

It depends whether or not you expect your application to be scalable.

sorry for sounding so ignorant but what exactly do you mean by 'scalable'?

Hi Kanad
Since you have a PXIe chassis, you can use only PXIe DAQ cards with it. Which among your options would only be PXIe 6358, which has 16 Analog inpout and 4 Analog output channels to suffice your need.
For the controller, the choice would depend on your requirement of processor speed, whether or not you want real time OS on it etc.
You may go through various PXIe controllers available at the following link. Please go through the specifications that suffices your need.
