what is the final reading of N samples in DAQ assistant

Solved!

I have set to read/output N samples (say N=10) at certain rate (1Hz). I have wired the output to a number indicator. I don't see the number indicator changing until the operation of collecting 10 data stops. What is the final value of my number indicator? The last reading or the average of ten readings?

If you have done something silly like wire dynamic data to a numeric indicator, then I have no idea. It certainly is not the average. You would have to explicitly need to run the statistics function to get the average. Dynamic data should be avoided if you don't understand what is actually being done with it. If you are acquiring 10 samples, the data type should be a 1D array and it would be imposible to wire an indicator to it.
