smallest NI-DAQ driver-only redistributable installer for Windows?

I've made a program in LabVIEW 7.0, and would like to include the smallest available NI-DAQ driver installer on my setup CD.  I'm currently using the NI-DAQ Traditional api, and one of these E-series boards:  DAQCard-6036E or PCI-6034E.

Is there a way I can redistribute only the needed components?  For example, could I just delete the components\LVsupport\ folder (and others) from the uncompressed "TDAQ740.zip", without breaking the installer?  Please include how-to details, if possible.

Even better, is there already a pre-made, smaller installer available?


I could continue to use the old NI-DAQ 6.9.3 (without LabVIEW components)...  I thought it may be best to use the newest drivers.  Please share your thoughts.  Thanks,

Unfortunately, there is only one version of the Traditional NI-DAQ driver, or any other NI drivers. We do not have any smaller installers available and we don't recommend removing anything from the TDAQ740.zip because it will probably break the installation.

I do understand that the driver file is fairly large, but that is the only complete solution that we offer.

Is it acceptable for a commercial entity that release such an application to distribute the NI-DAQ drivers along with their application? My guess is No.

I just point our customers at the NI web site and so far no one has complained (too loudly, at least) about the download size. And most customers get the driver on the CD with the hardware. Most scientific/engineering type people (our customers) usually have access to some sort of high-speed connection.
