simultaneous analog outputs 6071E

Hello everyone,

Sorry for asking pehaps a quite basic question (before trying very hard to find the answers....).

My problem is quite simple (not for me ...). I've got a PCI 6071E. What I want is to simultaneously get analog output signals.

I can very easly get ao signals as in the attached file, but how can I get signals on ao0 and ao1 simulatneously (the signals will have different frequencies and amplitudes)?

Moreover, is it possible to get the "triggers" corresponding to the 2 ao signals?

Can anyone give me a clue?

Thanks a lot.

Adrian

You want two AO channels in the same task?  Just use another Create Virtual Channel with the task from the previous Create Virtual Channel to set up a second channel on the same task.

Hi,

To write data to 2 analog ouputs simultaneously you can choose Dev1/ao0:1 instead of Dev1/ao0. Then in the 'write analog waveform vi' you choose multiple channels and multiple samples and wire an array of waveforms to this vi. They will then start simultaneously when you run it.

Hope it helps.

Thanks a lot. I used Kamu's suggestion - it's exactly what I want!

Now, for the second part of my question, how do I get (I do not know whether is possible or not for 6071E) the TTL corresponding to the 2 analog outputs? At the moment I am re-routing the signal via a analog-to-TTL converter.

Thanks again.

Hi Adrian,

When you say the TTL corresponding to the 2 analog outputs, do you mean the TTL signal that is being input to the digital to analog converter inside the card in order to generate the signal?
