Hi,
I'm using Ubuntu 8.04 and trying to install the driver for NI USB-6009. What I did is:
- Install NIKAL 1.1
- Install NiVisa 4.5
- Download and install nidaqmxbase-3.3.0
I followed the instructions but when I run the INSTALL there is error:
imempty@imempty-laptop:~/Desktop/nidaqmxbase-3.3.0$ sudo ./INSTALL
trap: 445: SIGINT: bad trap
I tried to search for solutions but can't find it anywhere. Did anyone encounter the same problem or can anyone tell me where I did it wrong?
One small note is that the first time I installed the NIKAL1.1 I couldn't run the updateNIDriver, it kept saying something like:
/etc/natinst/nikal/nikal.dir: no such file or directory.
I manually created the file and manage to run the updateNIDriver. After that I can run the 'modprobe nikal' without any error (actually nothing appear). Can anyone confirm if I installed the NIKAL correctly? Might it be the source of the later problem?
One more question is that is there any way for me to confirm if I installed the NiVisa correctly?
I was stuck with this for a few days, will much appreciate if you can help me. Thanks.
MT.
