input an analog signal from DAQ1200

I am a begginer of LABVIEW and DAQ1200. The problem is that i can't get any signal from a function generator, for example, a sinewave. I set my DAQ1200 card with differential analog input mode and use channel 0 as positive,and channel 1 as negative input. Must i connect the pin 49 and pin 50 to a voltage source to run the card? Besides, the readings i got by using Testpanel is either -5V or noise.

Hello;

You don't need to connect pins 49 and 50 so the card works. Those pins are only an extra access to the internal 5V power supply and GND.

If you are not getting good readings in Test Panel, that pretty much indicates your hardware is defective, and the best way to go about it is to give NI a call and ask for a RMA number to get your board fixed.
