The Problem what we find sofar is that on SDCLK0 and SDCLK1 of the U3 is no CLOCK output
on the data sheet it says on page 114 you can programm then enable or disable so we think have to Program the U3 some how
Ifound the following tool http://www.fs2.com/pdfs/SNAV-GX.pdf
is that the right one and does NI have somthing like that.
Thanks again

Hi Rick,

The last link you posted is for an AMD proc. I don't know if it compatible with the NSC proc.

This means that you don't have a tool to verify that the BIOS prom (U1) is programmed correctly ?

Do you have a keyboard/monitor attached. Is there any output  ?

If not, for a start can you verify that the boot proces is started after a HW reset by measuring the #CE (pin 22) signal  MEMR# (pin 24) at U1

Hi KC.

Bios should be all right as we got one working Unit and we swapped the Bios Chip and works fine we tried all Program IC's all seem to work fine on the working unit.

We don't have a Display as it is normally just used as a satellite in a Network.

NS sold Geode to AMD so this link was from AMD for debugging and maybe programming the GX1?

As we think that there is a small program on the Processor GX1

We will try to swap the GX1 but waiting for the Reball station as it is a BGA

Thanks

Normally I would not start replacing components before you are sure that it is necessary. But when you are desperate.....................

If you don't have a monitor connected how do you observe that the board is working or not

What OS runs on the disk ?

Well I see the answer in the title   Smiley Happy

On a working board do you see the BIOS startup like you see with a 'normal' PC ?
