error 1638 when uninstall ni-daq 7.3

When try uninstall NI-DAQ 7.3 in Windows XP, MSI launch error 1638 and don`t unistall NI-VISA 3.0.1f.
After reboot, I don´t unistall or repair NI-VISA 3.0.1f.

Hi JaviHH,

I´ve be able to find something and apparently this error appears due to another version of NI-VISA is already installed. Uninstallation of this version cannot continue. To configure or remove the existing version of this product, use Add/Remove Programs on the Control Panel.

One advise would be to re-install* again the driver due to this situation may force to repair or recover the installation and then you will be able to unistall your driver correctly.

*NOTE. It´s important to re-install the same version or higher respect to the version that you had installed the first one
