could i use NI9211 for RTDs?

I want to use RTDs to test temperature, there is a NI 9211 in my group which used for thermocouple. but i want to used it for RTDs. Is there some possibility? if yes, how could i realize it? Thanks

It is possible to read from an RTD with this module, but you are likely to saturate the voltage range of the device, depending on the exact specifications of your RTD.  Here is a KnowledgeBase article that talks about this.

You would be better off using a 9217.

Thank you, Christina. I have one more question. Is there built-in excitation current  for RTDs in 9211?  Firstly i think no built-in current in 9211, because thermocouple could generate voltage. I am very weak in electrical knowledge. Thanks

You are correct.  In order to use the 9211 for RTDs you would have to provide an external excitation.
