can bus reading from NI usb 6259

I am working on can bus monitoring and I have a NI USB-6259. is it possible to read data from CanBus with NI USB-6259?

Veli,

Unfortunately, you cannot monitor the CAN Bus with a USB-6259. However, National Instruments offers multiple USB devices that will allow you to monitor the CAN Bus. Those devices are the USB-8472, USB-8473, and USB-8473s

If the CAN-BUS is a serial single wire signal, why could this not be read in the USB-6259, on a digital line or even analog and software sorted to get the messages?

(would be good to know why a device can't be used, and not just that it can't)
