When I unplug the network cable from the cDAQ 9188XT chassis and monitor the error outputs of all of the DAQmx vi's that interface with the cDAQ (polled at 5Hz), it takes about 10 sec for one of them to report an error. I've looked for a value that I can set for the timeout but haven't been able to find one. Does anyone know if there is a setting that I can change for this? I'd like to have it report the network disconnect almost immediately ideally.

There should be a timeout input terminal on the DAQmx Read and DAQmx Write VIs, which determines how long it will wait without acquiring samples/being able to write samples before the VI throws a timeout error. The default timeout of this is 10 seconds, which may be what is causing that delay. If you set the timeout to a lower value, do you see the waiting time decrease? If this does seem to help, you could set it to 0 which will return an error immediately if it is unable to read or write samples.
