Hello,
I have a cDAQ 9172 chassis with a 9213 thermocouple input module and a 9215 analog voltage input module as well as a few other modules that I'm not using at the moment. I wish to simultaneously read in voltages on the 9215 at 100kHz and read in thermocouples on the 9213 at a lower rate (probably about 10Hz). After attempting to code this in LabVIEW, it appears that you must use the same daqmx task, and therefore the same sample rate, for both modules since they are both analog inputs. Since the thermocouple module is much slower (1200S/s aggregate) I can't get the sample rate I need from the 9215. Is this just a hardware limitation that I am stuck with? Is it possible to use an external clock to remedy this issue? It seems that for the newer chassis, the 9178, this is no longer a problem. Does this mean that with the newer chassis you can create two separate tasks, one for each module?
Thanks in advance for any help provided.

Hi Robert,
I believe this KnowledgeBase will answer most of your questions:
