Why my Matrix card 1129 do not reinitialize

In My Application I am using two 1129 cards. User needs to Change the UUT without stopping the program hence I disconnect all the switches at that time and then release the matrix card (Releasing do not give any error) but when I try to reinitialize the card some times it don't initialize the first card and some times it do not initialize second card all the parameters of the initialize vi are constants.
Can any body help me to figure out why this is happening

A few questions:

1) You said that when you try to reinitialize it doesn't work properly. What happens? Is there an error code that appears? Basically, how can you tell that it's not being initialized?

2) What programming language are you using?

3) I'm assuming if you stop the program and restart then the switches initialize correctly. Is that correct?
