Which NI device to buy for Pressure Transducers Swagelok

Hello,

We are researchers in France. Could you please help us to choose the right NI equipment?

What I have?

I have a Swagelok Pressure Transducers (S model).

  • Voltage output signal (3 wire): 0 to 10V
  • Need a supply: Vdc = 14 to 30V
  • Min. Load: RL > 10 kOhm

My question is:

  • If we have an external Power Supply of 24V, then what type of NI equipment to buy to collect the Voltage output signal from the Pressure Transducer on the PC. We prefer to collect the data by using the USB câble on the PC.
  • I know that some NI equipment can also have the Power Supply at the same time. So if we don't have an external Power Supply, then what type of NI equipment to buy? (Power Supply, Acquisition, USB at the same time, all in one).

Thank you very much.

Hi,

for measuring voltage in the range 0-10V you can use Ni USB 6001, 6002 series devices. They measure analog voltage in the range +- 10V. It has also an Analog output of +-10V 5mA, which I suppose is not sufficient for powering your sensor.

Ni has also cRIO chassis to which you can attach a Voltage measurement module like NI-9201. cRIO requires also a power supply of 9-30V which can also be used as a power supply for your sensor. However, this is a very powerful device with real-time measurement possibilities which perhaps could be necessary for further research.
