Where can I get switches/solenoids for use with the NI 9474 DO module

I have several temperature controllers with outputs rated 115V @ 5A. We are going to replace these controllers with LabVIEW application that uses this hardware:

cDAQ-9174
NI 9211 Thermocouple Module
NI 9474 Sourcing Digital Output

I was told that I would need some third party solenoids/switches connected to the 9474 that can operate the heaters. This is a laboratory application, so I'm trying to keep things compact.

Does anyone know where I could get solenoids or switches that would work for this?

Thanks for posting your question in the NI Discussion Forums; actually there is no specific company that we, as National Instruments, can recommend, however you can do a inernet web search for companies that manufacture solenoids and check their product lines for compact units.

Digikey, Allied, and Mouser are decent suppliers for electronic hardware.

You'll need to do some engineering and figure out what you can use to control the heaters. A solid-state relay will probably do what you want it to, and a lot of those can be driven straight off a digital output.
