What if there is no FS/GS switch?

Why some DAQ systems (NI USB6218) do not have the FS/GS switch? In this case, how to inform the DAQ system whether the coming signal is floating or ground referenced?

Thanks in advance,

That is done in the DAQmx Driver.  You can set up a channel to be Reference Single Ended or be Differential.

Hey,

like crossrulz already mentioned, the configuration for an anlog input is set in software.

If you use the DAQmx VIs, this is the input "input terminal configuration" of the "DAQmx create channel" Vi.

If you use the DAQ Assistant, the input configuration can be set on the configuration panel (red rectangle in the screenshot).
