Use two analog triggers for acquisition

Can I use two analog or hardware triggers for acquisition in one VI? I was supposed to program a vi,in which analog trigger A triggers channel 0,1 and trigger B triggers channel 3,4. Is it possible? What kind of time frame do you think it would take? What kind of DAQ cards do you think I need?

Most of NI's E-series MIO cards will do what you are asking.

The simplest solution would use two seperate cards. One for the "A" trigger stuff, the other to handle the "B" trigger tasks.

If you are developing in LV, the examples that ship with LV should do what you want.

Re:Which card to purchase.
It depends on how fast you want to run and the nature of the signals you are monitoring.

Zhichao;

All National Instruments DAQ devices allow only one trigger channel, so, you can execute that task by using only one DAQ device. You can definitely do that by having two devices and synchronizing both through the RTSI bus. In that way, you can share the same clock pulse in both boards, so they will be completely synchronized, and also, you will be able to configure to different trigger parameters, one for each DAQ device.

Hope this helps.
