I installed the drivers on the linux kernel 4.9.115-rt93-lp150.11-default (patch) but when I run `lsni -v` no RIO board is detected. Help!

Yes!
I am required to setup two cards, NI 6704 and NI 7542r. The 6704 was detected via command `nillsdev -verbose`.
The 7542r was not detected when i tested out command `lsni -v`
lspci also did not show the necessary 7542r. I am guessing the board is not working.

So these two cards are being used in a PXI chassis with a PXI controller right?
Could you tell us the controller model?

This document has a table to compare PXI and Linux Desktop Operating System Compatibility. OpenSUSE Leap 15.0. is not listed there.
Could you use a supported version of OpenSUSE?
This is just to ensure that the software environment is supported so we can rule out any issues on that layer. I would rather make an extra test than have you purchasing a new PXI card without necessity.

Yes from the link you shared, Leap 15.0 is not mentioned. Although Leap 15.0 is the latest OpenSUSE version and I would prefer to stay on this version since the previous versions of OpenSUSE had other software compiler issue for the application I am using.

when I execute the command
lspci
I get the following result
b4:00.0 Unassigned class [ff00]:National Instruments PCIe-7842R
Can you explain what this means?
