USB-8425

Hello,

I connect USB-8425 to PC and then open MAX and see it under Device Interface.

I open labview 8.0 and DAQ Assistant icon.  After initilizing, I don't see my device USB-8425 under Digital I/O, Analog input, Analog ouput...

I just only saw DEV1 (PCI-6221)  port0/line0, port0/line1, port0/line2...

Do you ahve any idea?

Thanks

ken

The 845x devices use the NI-845x API.  From your description it sounds like you're trying to use this device with NI-DAQmx.  That isn't supported.  If the device shows up in MAX, I expect you already have that driver/API installed.  It should be under the Instrument I/O palette in LabVIEW.

I just found out that USB 8451 doesn't support for my labview 8.0.

Is it right?

Hello redstart,

Any compatibility issues regarding the USB-8451 will pertain more to the NI-845x driver version that you are using as opposed to the hardware itself. I have looked through the readme files for the different versions of the NI-845x driver, and it appears that NI-845x 1.1.1  will support LabVIEW 8.0. You may download this driver version from our website for free and use this to communicate with your device.
