USB-6451 AI and AO not showing up in NI MAX or LabView 2026.1

Solved!

Hello Support!

I'm attempting to create a LabView code which will read 3 analog input channels (electrical excitation, response, and accelerometer) and output 2 analog signals (sinusoid at 2V 10 kHz and sinusoid at 1V 10-100 Hz). When I attempt to create the VI, I am only able to create a single virtual analog input channel for voltage.

In looking around, I found that no channels were showing up on the device in NI-MAX (see NIMAX.png). I also confirmed that I have the latest drivers (see NIPM.png).

I attempted to solve this myself, and I'm not sure exactly where the issue is stemming from (whether LabVIEW or somewhere else). I was attempting to create a DAQmx channel with multiple AI's, and the only option available in Labview was to create a virtual channel (see Labview.png).

I have checked and my drivers are up to date, and the DAQ is showing up properly in the Device Manager as an NI DAQ.

I uninstalled and reinstalled DAQmx tools, restarted the computer several times, and have been cruising the forums, but have yet to find anything which resolves the issue.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Sincerely,

J_C

Thank you!

I don't see any issues from your images.

It is expected that channels are not listed under device in NI MAX.

If you want to add multi channels, you can either:

  1. Select More Than One NI-DAQmx Channel in LabVIEW
  2. Easily Synchronize and Trigger NI-DAQmx with Channel Expansion
