Hi,
I've got a USB X Series Multifunction DAQ NI USB-6343. From the various documentation (http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/370784g.pdf, http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/374567d.pdf), I concluded that the 4 analog output channels were voltage sources only. However, I was playing around with Veristand today, and when I imported this device, it showed "Current" as an option in the "Select measurement type" inside the "Add DAQ Channels" window. See attachment. Can this unit output a constant current? I have an application if this is possible.
Thank you!

Hello,
The 6343 can only act as a voltage source.
I'm not sure why Veristand has that option but my guess is that it is a setup dialog that doesn't take into account the devices in your system. Since NI does have some current source AO devices it gives the option to setup those devices.
Thanks
