I'm having some trouble installing my NI DAQ USB-6009 in Windows 7.
I have installed NI-DAQmx 9.0.2, but when I plug in the DAQ, Windows lists it as an "Unknown Device" for which it cannot find the driver. The LED does not turn on when I connect the DAQ to the computer.
I've tried plugging the DAQ into another computer, but the same thing happens. How can I fix this?
Many thanks,
Will

I believe the LED should come on when power is applied, driver or no driver. Try a different USB cable? Do you have any external circuitry connected to the 6009 I/O connector? Disconnect that if you do and try it. Otherwise, you may just have a bad DAQ (it's happened).
