USB-6009, NI-DAQ 6.1.1 and LabVIEW 6.1

Dear,

We have just acquired the USB-6009 and in the
installation manual there is a reference on "how to
install NIDAQ-mx".

We would like to know if it is possible to use this
acquisition board with NI-DAQ 6.1.1 and LabVIEW 6.1?
If not, there is an easy way to convert VIs from
LabVIEW 6.1 to LabVIEW 7?

I think that you cannot use LabVIEW 6.0/6.1, since USB 6009 has only DAQmx support .NI-DAQmx 7.5 or higher or NI-DAQmx Base to be more precise

And these are supported by LabVIEW 7.0 or higher.

so consider moving on to this higher version of LabVIEW

HI Danilo-

devchander is correct- your USB-6009 is only supported by NI-DAQmx which in turn is only supported by LabVIEW 7.0 and later.  A VI written in LabVIEW 6.1 will (in most cases) open fine in LabVIEW 7.0 without modification, but the fact that you must use a newer driver may necessitate rewriting the DAQ portion of your code in order to use NI-DAQmx with your device.
