The 1102B module gives 5V default value when no connection.

I have SCXI-1102B and 1303 with 1600 USB-DAQ. (Chase:1001). I take voltage (0-10VDC) from 1102B module for measurement. The module give us +5VDC default voltage when there is no connection between module and terminal. I want to take no connection information from LabView. How can I change this default volage to min or max voltage (zero or overvoltage) ?

Have a good work..

Hi,

What you see is an expected behaviour when using the SCXI-1303 isothermal terminal block. For each input channel, the terminal block has a pullup resistor connected between CH+ and +5 V and a bias resistor connected between CH– and chassis ground. These resistors help you detect open thermocouples by saturating the module amplifier output.
I recommend you to read the user manual of the SCXI-1303 for more details: http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/321923b.pdf

Hope that helps.
Regards,
Luca
