An attempt to open an acoustic emission (AE) vi in Lab view 8.5 reports that; AI Clear.vi, AI Read (waveform).vi, AI start.vi, Route Signal.vi, and Config.vi sub vis are missing. A quick scan through the NI webpage suggests that these sub vi's are resident in the legacy/Traditional DAQ usually not automatically installed with the DAQmx drivers. I am running windows 8.1, NI webpage says that if you want to download the Legacy DAQ you have to make a special request to them, which for some reason I can. I need the Legacy DAQ compatible with windows 8.1 and LabVIEW 8.5, please anyone help. Thanks.
