I want to simultaneously acquire 1 analog channel and 4 DI lines using a PCIe 6353 card (Labview 8.6), externally triggered at 1 kHz. As a starting point I tried the Multi-Function-Synch AI-Read Dig Chan.vi example, which ought to work with my card. But when I look at the t0 for both AI and DI waveforms, there is a constant 1 or 2 millisecond difference. (No change to the example VI except to monitor the t0s. The time difference depends on the rate and number of points acquired). I don't understand this. When I trigger the acquisition externally, the time difference jumps around - it is either 10s of nanoseconds, 1 ms or 2 ms. Why does this happen, and is there any way around it? Any help will be much appreciated!
