Sampling rate per channel for PCI6010

Hi,

I am planning to use a NI PCI 6010 together with a CB-37F-LP_unshielded to perform measurements of voltages less than 10V. The phenomena I am trying to study is very fast and I need to correlate it with 2200 fps videos. I saw that the PCI6020 has an aggregate sampling rate of 200KS/s. If I use this configuration, and all the 8 channels, what is my maximum sampling rate that I can get per channel?

Actually, you can't scan that fast because the 6010 has a 30-50usec settling time depending on the required accuracy, per the specs.  So really you can't get much more than about 20k/8, or 2.5kS/s on each of the 8 differential channels.

Thank you,

Actually, that is what I was affraid of, I need if to be above 2.2kS/s. That's my minimum. Do you think the USB 6210 would be any better than that?

Thanks,

Well, 2.5kS/s is above 2.2kS/s, so I don't see the problem.  But to answer your question: yes, the USB-6210 would be much faster, allowing you to reach up to 250k/8 (31.25kS/s on each channel) depending on your accuracy requirements.
