SCXI-2000 chassis does not work.

Hi, I'm trying to configure my SCXI-2000 with a SCXI-1200 and SCXI-1121
modules. I read in the notes of NIDAQ, that I would have to reprogram that
chassis with the rscxi.dmg file. But the system just tell me that can't
reprogram the chassis. I'm using a remote system, with an RS-232 null cable
modem., windows 98 and version 6.0.1 of NI-daq.
Please I would be very grateful for any tips.
It's my final project in the university.
Thanks.

Jose,

Without looking into your problem too deeply, I would suggest visiting our
SCXI troubleshooting page, which can be found by following links through ni.com
>> support >> daq help >> scxi help .

The direct link is as follows; these pages are pretty robust with
install/config information:
http://www.ni.com/support/trouble/daq/scxi/

I had a similar problem with a SCXI-1000 and 1200 module. I was able to access the 1200 through the old config utility instead of max.

Workaround:
Tests seem to show that configuring the 1200 using the OLD config utility instead of MAX (run by
typing 'nidaqcfg.exe /OLD' in the 'Run...' control), and re-booting will get it working.
