Returned NI-DAQ Warning 200012

I am receiving the following error:

[DAQme StartTask - Analog Input] returned NI-DAQ Warning 200012.  Clock rate specified exceeds the maximum conversion rate of the ADC.  ADC overrun errors are likely.

I am using a Dell Precision work station loaded with WINXP PRO.  The card itself is a NI-6221.  Any suggestions on how I can resolve this error?

Hello David,

This DAQ message is expected when you specify a sampling rate that is above the maximum sampling rate of your device.  The PCI-6221 has a maximum sampling rate of 250 kS/s for a single channel.  If you have more than 1 channel this max rate will decrease.  For example for 5 channels you will have a max sampling rate of 50 kS/s.  If this is not fast enough for your application, you might want to look into the high speed data acquisition products such as our High Speed M Series devices.  These are capable of a 1M aggregate sampling rate.
