I just got a HEL-705-U-1-12-00 RTD temperature probe but cannot make it read back correctly in Labview.
The RTD is 1kohm at 0C and -70 to 260C temperature range. 3.85 mOhm / C. 2 wire type. I entered all this information for the RTD task using Ai0. I hooked up one lead onto Ai0+(pin1) and the other onto Ai0- (pin2). I have an NI 6343 DAQ which should be able to handle RTDs. I used 2.5mA excitation current. However when I try to read back the temperature it is always giving me at around -250C. Doesn't make sense because I set the range as -70 to 260. Also I manually tested the RTD by measuring the resistance. It is indeed at above 1000 and rises when I heat it up. What is going on here???
