RHEL 8 packaging for Linux Device Drivers

I am aware that "official" version updates are scheduled for annual release, but I am wondering whether there are plans to update the Linux device driver repos for compatibility with newer releases of the supported distributions. For example, RHEL 8 is now officially released and OpenSUSE Leap 42.3 will reach EOL in the coming weeks, with users expected to upgrade to Leap 15.0/15.1. I have attempted to use the existing RHEL 7 repos on RHEL8 but there's a problem with the package signing/digests that prevents installation via the package manager (likely due to the transition from yum to dnf). Could this be fixed in a minor update to the existing drivers (ie. repackage the drivers for newer RHEL/OpenSUSE) while we await the next major driver revisions?

Thanks for your question.

Unfortunately we can't really share information about future updates.

If you however want to discuss this further you could perhaps reach out to your local sales representative for a discussion regarding this.
