Putting WindowsXP in standby resests all MAX settings to default values

Windows XP has the option of selecting standby when shutting down the computer. If the user selects this option all the channels settings I have made are set back to the default values. I have made all the necessary changes to elimiate the standby option within window (i.e. disable sleep on keyboard, disable auto standby, etc.) however the only one I cannot remove is the option from the shutdown menu.

Does anyone know if NI has a fix to stop the resetting of the MAX values if the system is set to standyby? Or is there an easy way to disable the standyby button on the shutdown menu?

Hi Terry,

Which settings are you talking about? In MAX if you hit the SAVE button after making task and global channel changes, going into sleep mode (or anything else) should not change the settings.

What version of DAQ do you have?

One thing you could do would be to export your settings from MAX (File >> Export...). Then you could import those settings if they are ever lost.
