Problems with cursor position in signal graph

Hi NG,

I have some problems with the cursor position in signal graphs (see Screenshot and attached VI).

If I set the position of the cursor with an attribute node, the resulted position is not the one I have set. Is there a bug?

Best regards,
Michael

Hi Michael,
by default the cursors sit on a grid in the plot. Therefore the cursor position is internally stored in discrete steps. Thus your results.

In order to avoid this problem, you need to set the Cursor mode to "free". You can do this in the front panel or in the block diagram:

a) (FP)
 - right click the plot, "properties", go to the "cursors" tab
 - check "allow dragging", select "Free dragging", click "OK"

b) (BD)
 - expand your existing writing property node, add "Cursor" -> "Cursor Mode"
 - connect a constant "0" to it. This will set the mode to "free"
(see attached screenshot)

Please let me know if this fixed your problem,

Best regards from Munich,

Peter
