I want to capture a digital waveform using the PXIe-6363 internal clock at 2 Msamples/sec, triggering on a high-to-low transition of that digital waveform. I understand that the digital waveform needs to go to a PFI input (P1 or P2 port) in order for it to be a trigger. The "Digital Waveform Acquisition" section of the user manual says "You can acquire digital waveforms on the Port 0 DIO lines". So, I have two questions:
1. Can the waveform be sampled using the same PFI input that is used for the trigger or do I have to also route the waveform to a different input for sampling?
2. The user's manual implies I have to use P0 to capture a digital waveform. Is that true?

You can configure the same acquisition channel as the trigger source.
2. The user's manual implies I have to use P0 to capture a digital waveform. Is that true?
Digital waveform is only supported on P0 in PXIe-6363.

This isn't correct for DIO on X-series because trigger signals require a terminal with PFI functionality, and none of the X-series PFI terminals support waveform DIO. You would have to parallel wire to both a DIO terminal on port 0 *and* a PFI terminal.
