Hi all,
I need to use a data acquisition system based on PXI and the data acquisition card PXIe-6124. My problem is that the sensors I will use(piezoelectric) use BNC connectors and I don't know how to make the connections between them and the data acquisition card. Do I have to buy any device to communicate them?
Thanks a lot,
Juan Luis

Hi Juan Luis,
Do your piezoelectric sensors require current excitation? Unlike DSA devices, the NI PXIe-6124 does not have current excitation circuitry built-in. The NI PXIe-6124 also doesn't support AC coupling, which is typically used to remove DC offset when using piezoelectric sensors such as accelerometers and microphones.
If your sensors don't require excitation or you are using an external excitation source, then I think the NI BNC-2110 and an appropriate cable should work.
