PXI-6238 DI change detection

Hello,

Using LabView 8.51

Daqmx 8.61 

I am trying to set up a DI port (Port 0) on a PXI-6238 Multifunction (M-Series) DAQ.  I have tried to set up the Port programmatically and through MAX and I get the same Error:

Requested value is not a supported value for this property.

Property: SampTimingType

You Have Requested:  Change Detection

You Can Select: On Demand.

AFAIK the datasheet for the PXI-6238 states that it supports Change Detection.

If you look at the detailed specifications of the NI 6238/6239, page 5, the digital lines are specified as static digital input or timing input.  The lines do not support change detection. The data sheet does discuss change detection, but more as a feature of many M-Series DAQ devices, not the PXI-6238 specifically.

This page http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/1739 shows an example for a change detection vi.  listed under hardware model is the PXI-6238.

I appreciate your help, but the data sheets and information provided by NI needs to be more clear.
