We have been using a PCI-6013 DAQ card to measure 5v dc at channel AI (differential) with no problem for a few years. Yesterday, we started to get erroneous reading. It reads 10v and 0v periodically. Before this happens, we applied 12v by mistake instead of 5v between AI and AI. Refer to the manual, the overvoltage protection is 15v. We hope 12v did not damage the card. The channel is configured as differential, +/- 10v range.
Tried to switch to a different channel and got same erroneous reading. Our next step will be re-install the 6013 driver and see if it fixes it. If that doesn't work, will replace the 6013 card.
Any advices or comments will be appreciated.

Hi,
We just found out the root cause is a bad benchtop power supply. The PCI 6013 is good. We switched the 5v benchtop power supply and everything is running properly.
