Output constant Voltage from DAQ

I am currently stuck. I need to have a DAQ interface through LabVIEW and output a constant Voltage. not a signal. Basically, I need it to activate a relay once I activate it in LabVIEW. is this even possible? I have both a Digital IO DAQ and an Analog IO DAQ.

What specific devices?   On many common DAQ devices, analog outputs will hold their last voltage level after you stop (and even clear) the task.  I don't think digital outputs do the same, at least some common ones I've worked with definitely don't (M-series, X-series).

But you'd also need to determine from your specs whether the AO channel can source enough current to drive the relay coil.

CAUTION! New LabVIEW adopters -- it's too late for me, but you *can* save yourself. The new subscription policy for LabVIEW puts NI's hand in your wallet for the rest of your working life. Are you sure you're *that* dedicated to LabVIEW? (Summary of my reasons in this post, part of a voluminous thread of mostly complaints starting here).
