Using a NI USB device, I would like to synchronize the imaging operations performed on a Nikon microscope (controlled by Nis Elements software) with the fluidic steps defined by a Matlab code. Using the NI-DAQ control, Nis Elements can send an analog/digital signal to a compatible NI card. In parallel, the Matlab code should scan the same NI card to verify the reception of the trigger signal and to proceed with the next fluidics step.
Would it be possible to perform this using a single NI USB card without generating conflicts? What is the best card to use in this case?
