NI cDAQ 9185 vs. 9184 Module compatability

Solved!
Go to solution

We have used 9184 chassis in the past but I am told by my peers that this is no longer available and now we are buying 9185 chassis.

Meanwhile, I have a system which needs a voltage input and a current input module (9205 and 9208 are the modules that I have in hand).

I have been told my 9205 will not work with the newer 9185 chassis. And from what I can tell the 9208 is not recognized in the newer 9185 chassis.

So it seems like I need the old 9184 chassis for both of these modules that I have.

Can NI point me to a chassis vs. module compatibility chart?

If I have a 9184 chassis what voltage and current input modules can I use?

If I have a 9185 chassis what voltage and current input modules can I use?

I worry I am buying the wrong parts.

My colleague came in. Apparently the incompatibility is actually with software.

Once I upgraded to NIDAQ1710f0 the 9185 chassis can recognize my modules.
