NI SCB-68A Setup Help

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello, I have a NI SCB-68A, this multifunction cable: http://www.ni.com/en-us/support/model.shc68-68-epm.html , and an encoder that I would like to find the angular speed of. However, I do not have a way to connect the white end of the multifunction cable to my computer. Am I missing something necessary to set this up?

Hi jaredhaley,

What DAQ device are you using? This cable is supposed to connect to a PCI/e card such as the PCIe-6321.

The PCI/e card plugs in to your computer PCI/e slot and it gives you the I/O that you need for this cable.

Best,

I don't think I have a PCI/e input on my computer but since I'm on vacation I'll have to check when I get back. I guess I also do not have a DAQ device, could you provide an example of what one of those would be? When initially setting up the project I figured that was the SCB device. Thanks
