NI 9205 not recognized anymore

It looks like my NI 9205 module broke. At least it is not recognized anymore when I check in NI MAX (Version 17.5.0f0). The chassis is NI cDAQ-9185.
I don't know if there is anything I can try, it worked until now. All the other modules (including another NI 9205) work just fine. I also tried another chassis (NI cDAQ-9184) to no avail. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks

Hi gagamehl,

there are multiple things you may check before sending the device for a repair. I would start in this order:

  1. Why Do I Receive Error 88705?

This error message is returned because the NI Device Loader Windows Service (or 'nidevldu') is not running.
To properly start the service and ensure that the service is always started at startup follow these directions:

Go to Start » Control Panel » Administrative Tools » Services
Right click on NI Device Loader Service (may be listed as 'nidevldu')
    Select Properties
Set the startup type as Automatic
    Click the Start button.

However, I do not think it may be useful since some of the modules are working correctly.
  2. Error -88705 Occurred at Self-Test in NI MAX
  3. Error -88705 in MAX but Shows Up in Windows Device Manager

please follow the instructions and tell me if they were helpful.

Best,

Andrzej
