NI 9203 with a micromotion flowmeter

So, we are running an NI 9203 with a micromotion 1700 transmitter.  The micromotion is internally powered and when speaking with micromotion they recommended using an unpowered card.  We do not have any unpowered cards.  Our card is powering other sensors too so I can't disconnect power.  I hooked it up with the power not hooked up and got it to work just fine.  Ran fine for a couple of days and yesterday blew a fuse.  I wasn't here to troubleshoot but they said they put the fuse back in and it popped immediately.  So, my long winded question, how do you hook an internally powered sensor up to a powered card?

What are you referring to when you say "card"? Do you mean the 9203 or something else that is providing power to your sensors? Does you question have anything to do with the NI DAQ device? If not, this may not be the best place to find answers.
