Hi all.
I'm aiming to set up a fairly simple control logic for plasma arc PVD deposition reactor with 2 separate pulses of separate species (2 separate signal outputs control a capacitor bank that discharges the arc). (A single square wave pulse fires).
I need advice on purchasing hardware+software I need to perform the task described (logic schematic attached below).
My background is primarily physics. I was first looking to build a custom hardware logic circuit but a reliable, portable, and easy user interface tempted me to look for a labview solution.
So far, I've looked at multifunction DAQ such as NI USB-6341.
Requirements: User interface with logic circuit to control 2 signal outputs to capacitor bank. Counters on 2 output signals --> counters control the order and number of selected pulses, 2 outputs cannot fire simultaneously.
The minimum requirements are following:
- 4 channels input analog
- 2 channels output bnc
- multiplexers, comparison circuits
- at least 2 counters
- basic analog signal generation
- frequency ranges/sampling rates do not matter as signal is 1 Hz (low pulse frequency for capacitor recharge)
- TTL voltage range (-5 , 5)
- USB for portability
Does e.g. NI USB-6341 have internal logics (AND/OR/XOR/NOT gates) to program this internally, or does NI LabVIEW do this externally on laptop?
Thank You in advance!
