I am using a PCI NI 6289 DAQ card in a fanless controller and was wondering about the temperature specifications. The NI628x manuals states the ENVIRONMENTAL operating temperature as 0 - 55 deg C. Does this mean that the environment surrounding the PCI card (ie the inside of the controller/computer) shouldn't exceed 55 deg C, or does it mean that the temperature measured on the card itself must not exceed 55 deg C. The card's onboard temperature sensor seems to reach an equilibrium temperature of about 66 deg C. (at a controller system temperature of around 52 deg C. Are these temperatures safe?
