Mac G4 and NI-DAQ

Just took my new G4 out of the box and am trying to bring over our 96 channel
NI-DAQ board. Installed latest drivers, tried changing PCI slots, but the
computer can't read the board.

I am running Mac OS 8.6. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone know the
solution?

Thanks in advance, Mike D.

Hi,
I am having problems but I haven't got any clear answers for you. Initially
I was running 8.6 on a G4 with the NI GPIB & PCI 1200 cards. Updating the
driver got the GPIB card going but that solution didn't meet with immediate
succes for the NIDAQ card. After playing around with extensions I realised
it was going. (NIDAQ 4.9.3). Then along came MacOS9. A few more hiccups but
the NIDAQ was alright. Then the extra memory that was not originally
installed was put in. The NIDAQ 4.9.3 extension hangs the computer. I put
in the 6.1.3 version. At least I could get the computer up. Again after
fiddling around I got the NIDAQ card going. But yesterday, it was down
again!!!!
I am still working on it
Regards
Robin

Dear Mike,
NI-DAQ 6.1.3/4.9.3 for the Mac does not currently support the PowerMac G4
with AGP (a.k.a Sawtooth).
